I Bought my son one of the Xbox 360 refurbished from the black Friday sale. It wasn't opened until Christmas day. Exactly 36 days from that it died, red ring of death. That's six days from the return policy and GameStop told me sorry your s.o.l., but I could trade it in for another and spend more money on their crap. So since they refused to be nice and do anything to help, I decided to open it up and have a look. First thing I noticed it was an original 2007 Xbox, they shouldn't even be allowed to refurbish and resell those garbage machines. It is 14 years old and you think refurbishing it is going to work. Finally after getting inside it I notice it had already been fixed for the red ring of death. When i took a good look at the screws that hold down the heat sink to the proccessor it didnt look rightbut whoever the idiot they had do it screwed up and didn't tighten all the screws down. One wasnt even tight at all and could be moved by hand and others were not tightened down properly. So now I am stuck with a dead Xbox because of their faulty technicians. All I can say is do not buy any used game systems at all from these people. They must be hiring crack heads to refurbish the systems. Thanks a lot game stop will never shop here again!!!!!

Never buy refurbished systems, 4th generation 360 elites are the kind to get if you want your moneys worth and it doesnt get the ring of death they fixed all that, Ive had mine for years and never had one problem. But I will agree that the others arnt good

not really man. both snes and genesis were 16 bit, next gen systems, hence, the 16 bit wars.....if the snes were a, say 32 bit machine, then i would feel your comment. ps3 came out a full 5 years after the original xbox, and is a generation ahead ahead of it, unlike the snes and genesis, which were both of the 4th generation.

The Sega Genesis was originally released as the Sega Mega Drive in Japan in 1988. The American Super NES didn't come out until 1991

I actually agree with Joe though. I will still shop at Gamestop but I will NEVER buy anything used again. I bought an xbox cord that goes from the controler to the xbox and mailed it to my husband who is deployed. He has his xbox so there is no way I could pre test it but according to Gamestop all used products are pre tested....ya right. My husband plugs it in and it doesn't work.
I had bought the cord at a gamestop in another state as I was visiting family at the time and so I contacted Gamestop here on Facebook with the problem since by the time my hubby were to ship it back to me it would be out of warranty and the cost of shipping we would be out. They basically brushed it off and told me to contact the store I got it from wow......what the hell good would that do since I am about 1000 miles away!
Never buying used again from them.....actually might not buy new either because of the way they brushed me off like that. Bad business ethics.

Joe roldan. Good luck buying somewhere else when gamestop has a monopoly on the gaming industry. Sure you can order other games from other websites but to actually walk into a gamestop store and see all of those games on the shelves, I feel like a kid in a candy store again.

Genesis. The whole blast processing bit was based on how it was better at speed than the nes. But there's no such thing. Theres a game that was cancelled but recently came to light that carts were secretly made, reviewed by avgn, that prove the nes was just as fast.
Mode 7 was the answer to all of Sega's ill claims on the speed and overall performance of Nintendo systems.. and we see who still makes consoles, even if they cant communicate with publishers, or use feedback of consumers, or figure out what the internet is even for... n
